Keno Davis is making some progress in Mt. Pleasant and put together a nice class that fills the many needs his team has. Most importantly he added height, which the Chips are severely lacking.

There's not a lot out there about Medjo. Central Michigan seems to be his only scholarship offer and I can't find any stats of his.This highlight tapeshows his ability to get to the rim as well as hit the deep shot. At 6'4" he has some size, but could redshirt as the Chips have a logjam in the backcourt with Chris Fowler, Braylon Rayson,Austin Stewartand Austin Keel.

Meyer is tall, and the old cliche is you can't teach height. Central Michigan was his only scholarship offer, butthe official releasementions that he had interest from Texas A&M, Iowa and Wisconsin (FWIW). Meyer plays in Class C in Michigan, and isbelieved to be the first athleteto receive a Division I scholarship from his school. That article mentions that Davis told Meyer he'd be playing heavy minutes right away, and you'd think with the Chips' lack of height that'd certainly be true. Meyer averaged a double-double this year at seventeen points and ten boards. He made theDetroit Free Press Class C All-State teamand also won the state title in the high jump as a junior.

Wealready talked with DaRohn Scott, and from looking at his highlights you can tell he will be a special player. At 6'9" and 225 pounds he'll take up space in the paint and use his athleticism around the rim. He lives on the low block and will put away any missed shot. I have a feeling that Chris Fowler is going to love playing with Scott as their two games mesh well.

Scott picked the Chips over Western Michigan, Illinois State and Detroit. He had pretty solid stats, averaging eleven points per game and a shade over five blocks. If you want a comparison, think of a raw Richaun Holmes, the current Bowling Green power forward.

While this class came together late (Scott and Medjo signed this week), it's still a solid one. Davis got what he needed in two big men that are impressive around the basket. For a team that ranked 317th in the nation in total rebounds this year, two near-seven footers can only help. John Simons was the tallest player on the roster last year who played minutes and his game isn't suited for down low. Seven-footer Milos Cabarkapa redshirted last season and should contribute (and may even start) next year. When you add Cabarkapa, this is a huge class in the literal sense and should help Central Michigan win more than ten games next season.
