Happy Friday folks! Winter has hit us in full force over the past few weeks, and we hope you’re staying warm. We had a full week of hoops action in the MAC, and we’re excited to break it all down!

To open up this weeks’ show, the boys take a look at the week that was in MAC men’s hoops. In what was the most anticipated game of the conference season thus far, Toledo traveled to Athens on Friday night and emerged with an emphatic 87-69 victory over Ohio. Ryan Rollins led the way with 26 points as Toledo put on an offensive clinic, shooting 59 percent from the field.

Elsewhere in men’s hoops, Kent State and Bowling Green remain inconsistent, while Eastern Michigan and Miami seem to be coming back to earth after promising starts to their respective seasons. Buffalo has a big week ahead, with games against fellow contenders Ohio and Akron.

In women’s hoops, Ohio was the team of the week, going 3-0 with wins over Toledo and Buffalo. The Bobcats were affected by a COVID pause earlier in the year, and seem to be finding their footing behind the strong play of CeCe Hooks.

While Ohio is trending up, Kent State seems to be trending down. After two straight losses this week, the Flashes sit at 2-6 in conference play after an incredible 8-1 performance in the non-conference portion of the schedule. Western Michigan and Akron have both performed well to this point, and both have big matchups this week if they want to remain in the conversation.

As always, thanks for stopping by this week folks. Stay warm out there, and we’ll see you back here next Friday!
