Happy Friday folks! We are approaching the half way point of the college football season, and conference play is officially in full swing. After Ball State and Toledo took one last foray into non-conference territory last week, we have our first full slate of MAC games this Saturday. It is a beautiful thing.

To kick off the show this week, Zach and Steve take a look at the week that was in the MAC. Steve was especially impressed by Ball State’s bounce back 28-16 victory over Army. Many people had written the Cardinals off after three consecutive losses, but Mike Neu’s team seemed to figure some things out last week. We’ll see if they can sustain it.

Zach gave his performance of the week to Ohio QB Armani Rodgers, who came on in the second half to lead the Bobcats to a 34-17 comeback victory over Akron. Trailing 17-10 in the third quarter, Rodgers came on and rushed for over 100 yards and two touchdowns to deliver what may be a season saving victory for Ohio.

This week, we have quite a few intriguing match up’s to look forward to. Western Michigan is the hottest team in the conference, and they welcome defending champion Ball State to Waldo Stadium. Will Ball State be able to build on their performance against Army last week, or will the Broncos high powered offense prove too much to handle?

In northeast Ohio, Buffalo travels to Kent State in what has be come quite an intriguing rivalry over the past few years. Many folks remember the Golden Flashes’ improbable comeback victory over the Bulls in 2019, and Kent State fans certainly haven’t forgotten the 70-42 beatdown that Buffalo laid on them last year. If Kent State wins this one, they will be in the drivers seat in the east.

As always, thanks for stopping by this week folks. We appreciate all of you. Have a great weekend, enjoy all of the football, and we’ll see you back here next Friday!
