Happy Friday folks! It’s hard to believe, but it’s officially October, and conference play is starting to heat up in the MAC. We’ve learned a lot through the first month of the season, but these next few weeks will be critical as the true contenders in the conference should emerge.

To open up this week’s show, the boys look back at the results from Week 4 and give their performances of the week. Bowling Green certainly stole the show last Saturday, using a spectacular defensive performance to upset Minnesota, 14-10. The Falcons have been the surprise of the year in the MAC thus far. How will their momentum carry over into conference play? Elsewhere in the conference, Central Michigan QB Daniel Richardson came off the bench in the second half to lead the Chippewas to a thrilling, come from behind victory over Florida International. He has been named the starter moving forward, after Washington transfer Jacob Sirmon won the job out of camp.

Ball State continues to disappoint, and Miami failed to play up to expectations in a 23-10 loss at Army. Both the Cardinals and the RedHawks have a lot to figure out right now, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

To close out the show, Steve and Zach take a look at all of the matchup’s for week five. The start of conference plays gives us some very intriguing matchup’s that will certainly make for appointment television. Western Michigan travels to Buffalo, and we aren’t sure exactly what we’re getting from the Bulls just yet. The Broncos, on the other hand, enter conference play at 3-1 and full of confidence after back to back impressive victories over Pitt and San Jose State.

A few hours to the southwest of UB Stadium, Bowling Green travels to Kent State in a game that represents a clash of styles. Which strength will prevail in this one, the Kent State offense or the Bowling Green defense?

We cover all that and more! As always, thanks for stopping by this week folks. Have a great weekend, enjoy all of the football, and we’ll see you back here next Friday!
