Recruiting Battle to Watch

For this week’s Battle, we’re taking a look at a dual-threat QB prospect from an Ohio powerhouse in St. Xavier’s Brogan McCaughey. McCaughey comes in at 6’1”, 185 lbs., and currently has offers from Akron, EMU, Kent State, and Miami. He was named First Team All-State in his junior year as he accounted for 2,708 yards and 29 touchdowns on his way to a state championship.

As you can see in the Hudl film below, the QB has excellent ball placement, particularly on deep routes, and has some pretty sound throwing mechanics. McCaughey doesn’t have overwhelming arm strength, but that is something that be addressed with a college QB coach and a strength and conditioning program catered to developing that part of his game. He will definitely be a prospect to keep an eye out for in the 2021 season

Fire Recruiting Graphic of the Week

NIU is coming in strong in this week’s Graphic of the Week. I like this graphic a lot. There’s a lot of detail even though it’s mostly black and white, which makes the red in the hashtag really pop. Just a really awesome graphic. As always, feel free to submit nominees for Graphic of the Week to @MAC__Crootin.
