It’s looking to be another year centered around the Buffalo Bulls, as Buffalo has been back-to-back-to-back participants for the MAC in MBB action. They lost head coach Nate Oats to Alabama in the silly season, and will look to continue their dominance. Toledo, their MAC Championship competitor from last season. also looks to repeat last season’s success last season.
The WBB season saw multple NCAA tourney bids last season, a legitimizing feat for a conference which has always been a tough one in the women’s game. CMU, who flirted with Top 25 rankings, loses two of the best players in program history, as well as their head coach, but are still expected to be amongst the top programs in the MAC. Buffalo, Ball State and NIU all look to fight for the MAC title as well.
